I wanted to create a page solely for my photography. And here it is. I have tried this before but due to some unfortunate technological circumstance I had to merge it with the main page. That was two years ago…maybe three. Now we are much more advance and I have finally been able to bring this back. I love the fact that I can create a different theme for the page because showcasing photos is inherintly different from showcasing thoughts. So here it goes…AkebonoPhotog is again open for business.
At this writing the photography on this page comes from 4 sources.
Konica Minolta Dimage Z2
HP Scanjet scanner.
The Kodak camera was my first digital camera and performed so poorly that I am amazed that any images were even useful. The Konica Minolta camera was the first camera I spent money on. It was a point and shoot but with a twist. It performed pretty well but within a few years I out grew it. The Olympus Camera has been my first SLR camera and is still in operation. As a matter of fact as of this writing I am considering adding a new lens to it arsenal. It is showing its age though.
The HP Scanjet is an interesting beast. I have gotten into the art of scanography and it is really fascinating what you can do with it.
My Photography Reddit post concerning my Olympus.

The purchase of a new camera is complete. We bought a Nikon d600. It is a big enough step up that it warranted a purchase. It is our first journey into full frame cameras. I have taken a few test images and they are fantastic. So look forward to them here.
I still plan on using the Olympus because it is fairly good at telephoto. I would have to spend 2k to get something comparable on the Nikon. It does have a purpose moving forward. I guess I could stay on the lookout for a good quality zoom for the Olympus as it could probably be had for cheap.
